Residential Services:

Berkeley Citizens offers a variety of residential placement opportunities, certified under state and federal standards, that are designed to enhance the physical, social and emotional well-being of eligible individuals.

Community Training Home 1:

Similar to a foster care program, CTH 1 caregivers are trained private citizens who contract with Berkeley Citizens to provide care in their own homes for one or two individuals. Homes are licensed by the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs.

The Community Training Home 2:

The CTH 2 program offers individuals the opportunity to live in local neighborhoods with the 24 hour-a-day supervision and assistance of agency employees. Personalized care, individualized training, recreation and other activities within the community are provided to meet the needs of each individual.

Intermediate Care Facility:

Berkeley Citizens maintains homes for individuals who require assistance with challenging behaviors and medical needs. Each home has awake shift staff and services include medical, psychiatric, psychological, occupational and physical therapies, speech and dietary supports.
