Make a Difference - Change a Life by providing a loving, healthy and safe home for one or two individuals with disabilities, assisting them with special personal care needs and daily living activities such as community contacts, recreation, training, school and work attendance. You will also be responsible for managing consumer funds, medical and health care needs, and record keeping requirements. Berkeley Citizens, Inc. needs caring families to contract with us to provide services by becoming a licensed Community Training Home (CTH I) and maintaining licensing, health and safety standards in accordance with the SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (SCDDSN), the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and BCI policies. We are also seeking individuals who would like to be licensed as a CTH I Respite Home to provide a period of rest or relief for CTH I Training Home families. You will be responsible for providing quality care when CTH I Training Home families have an appointment, need free time, go on vacation, or have an emergency.
