The primary purpose of Berkeley Industries is to provide a safe and healthy environment for people with disabilities to develop the vocational, social and inter-personal skills to lead more independent and productive lives.

Berkeley Industries Adult Sheltered Workshop
Berkeley Industries accepts contract work from private industry that includes small assembly, disassembly, salvage, recycling, packaging and all aspects of mailing. Between 100 and 140 workers are paid wages based on the US Department of Labor (DOL) regulations for sheltered workshops.

Competitive Employment
Job Coaches develop opportunities for people with disabilities to be hired by local businesses. Once hired, a Job Coach will work with the employee on a one-to-one basis to teach the skills necessary to perform and maintain their job. As the employee becomes comfortable with their duties, the Job Coach gradually fades out of the workplace.

Enclave and Mobile Crews
People with disabilities are provided consistent supervision, training and transportation to local business job sites where they work along side people with and without disabilities performing tasks such as assembly-line production or janitorial services.
